1. Qualification : All workers over the age of 18 who are registered or working in the city, or foreigners who have a legal residence certificate in Taiwan are employed and work in New Taipei City can apply for the participation. Those who have won the Labor Star Singing Competition champion of this bureau in the past, are not allowed to participate. The following documents must be attached when registering.
   1. Employment certificate or insurance certificate (fill in the labor insurance consent form or provide the labor insurance schedule or the labor union’s certificate of payment of membership fees after July 2024).
   2. Front and back of ID card or photocopy of ARC.
   3. Competition category :
      1. Vitality star group (18-45 years old): those born in 1979 to 2006 .
      2. Charming star group (over 46 years old): Those who born before 1978 .
      3. Migrant group: Foreigners who are 18 years old and above, legally employed in Taiwan .
2. Registration date : From now to July 31, 2024 (Wednesday) at 6:00 p.m. (mailing registration shall be based on the postmark).
3. Registration method : Download the registration form online from the event website www.ntpcstar2024.com.tw and submit it. The documents should be attached when registering. Please choose one of the following methods to submit :
   1. Online registration: use registration system  to fill in the contestant registration information, and upload the required attached documents for future reference.
   2. Download the registration form online and fill it in. Then send it in person or send it by registered mail to “1 / F, 4th F, No. 155, section 4, Xinyi Road, Da’an District, Taipei, 106655 (received by the 2024 labor star singing contest activity group)” and indicate the 2024 NEW Taipei labor star singing contest on the envelope (by the postmark).
   3. Send the filled-in registration form by fax or e-mail. Please call to confirm whether the registration is successfully done.

4. Note: please confirm the mail-delivered status within 3 days (excluding national holidays) after sending the registration materials. If the delivery status is not confirmed, the participants shall be responsible for the failure of registration.

1. Competition Registration :
   For the preliminary competition registration, each person should fill in the number of priority matches. If the number of matches exceeds the upper limit, the priority matches will be adjusted according to the actual registration sequence. After the list of competition order is surely published, the number of matches shall not be changed. The appearance sequence of the preliminary contest will be announced on the activity website in a week after the registration.
2. Preliminary Round :
   The preliminary round is limited to one entry per person. Preliminary Competition: Participants should bring one of their ID cards, driver’s license, health insurance card with photo, passport, and residence certificate to check their eligibility. After checked, those who do not meet the qualifications will be disqualified from participating. The participating songs are limited to 150 selected songs (50 in Chinese, 50 in Taiwanese and 50 in others) in the accompaniment system. Self-provided accompaniment tapes are not accepted. The songs will be published on the official website of the event, and each contestant’s singing time is limited to one song. According to the results of the preliminary rounds, the total score will be sorted. The Charm Star Group and the Vitality Star Group will each take the top 40 to enter the semi-finals, and the migrant group will select the top 20 to enter the semi-finals. The semi-final list will be within 5 days after the end of the last game announced on the official website of the event and notified to the winners.
3. Semi Final :
   Contestants will draw lots to decide the singing order when they register on the same day, and bring one of their ID cards, driver’s licenses, health insurance cards with photos, passports, and residence certificates to check their eligibility. Each contestant sings a complete song, and the total score is sorted according to the results of the rematch. The top 10 of the Charm Star Group and the Vitality Star Group will enter the final, and the top 10 of the migrant group will enter the final. At the end of the semi-finals The order of singing will be determined by drawing lots. If the contestants are not present at the time, the organizer will draw on their behalf. The 11th to 20th contestants will go to the final venue to receive the awards.
4. Final :
   Participants should bring one of their ID card, driver’s license, health insurance card with photo, passport and residence permit to check their identity. If they do not meet the requirements, they will be disqualified. The finalists must sing a complete song, and then rank the winners of the group and individual special awards (best modeling award and best typhoon Award) according to the total evaluation score.
5. Sound Check :
   The first and second rounds of the competition will provide audition opportunities depending on the on-site conditions. However, due to factors such as venue restrictions, safety considerations, and schedule requirements, it is impossible to guarantee that each contestant has an equal opportunity to audition. The rehearsal period for the finals shall be planned according to the organizer’s plan.
6. Absent :
   If the shortlisted and finalists are unable to participate in the competition due to personal factors, they should fill in the voluntary abandonment of the competition within 3 days after the announcement of the results. Announcement on the official website 1 week before the competition.
7. Competition Song :
   For the semi-finals and finals, the accompaniment system provided by the organizer is mainly used. If you have your own accompaniment tapes, please submit the mp3 file to [email protected] one week before the competition day (excluding self-playing and self-singing songs); songs for the semi-finals and finals must not be repeated.
8. Competitors who bring their own backing tapes, and those who play and sing their own songs, must obtain the music copyright by themselves. If there is any infringement, the parties are responsible for it.

1. Judging: Invite 3 to 5 professional jury members to conduct the selection in an objective, fair and open way.
2. Scoring method: pitch skills (40%), tone and emotion (40%), showmanship (10%), styling (10%).
3. At the beginning and the second round, the players will be selected according to the total score. In case of the same score, the individual group will be selected according to the order of intonation skills, timbre emotion, showmanship and modeling, and the one with a higher score will be selected. If all the scores are the same, they will be selected at the same time by judges.
4. The final will be selected by the order method, and the winner with the lowest order will be the champion. If the order is the same, it will be discussed and decided by the jury.

Notes:

1. The results of the final competition will be announced on the spot on the same day. The winner’s prize / ribbon will be collected on the same day, and the bonus will be paid by remittance. The 11th to 20th contestants must go to the final venue in person, and the awards will be given after the final.

1. Those who sign up for this competition are deemed to have fully understood the terms of this competition and agree to fully abide by the provisions of these rules.
2. If the registration information of the participant is incomplete or the content of the information is unclear, the organizer will notify you separately. Please complete the correction within 2 days after the notification. Those who fail to complete the correction within the time limit will be deemed to have given up the qualification. For registration-related materials, please keep your own manuscripts. The organizer will not return them.
3. On the day of the competition, participants should bring the original copy of their photo identification documents for future reference. The proof document is one of ID card, driver’s license, health insurance card with photo, passport, and residence permit. Other documents are not accepted.
4. No songs can be changed one week before the first round, the second round and the final round. Each contestant can only change songs once.
5. To maintain the fluency of the competition, each competition audition is limited to 30 seconds per person, and the pre competition audition is limited to 1 minute. No longer time is required.
6. Those who bring their own accompaniment tape or play and sing by themselves (those who are promoted to the semi-finals: before 18:00 on September 13 (Friday) / those who are promoted to the finals: before 18:00 on October 18 (Friday), please notify the activity team and attach the songs, lyrics, scores and other information. In addition, those who bring their own backup tapes should submit MP3 files to the sunshine one week before the competition day at [email protected] ; Please bring your own instruments on the day of the competition.
7. Participants should confirm their own health condition in advance so as to participate in this activity. If any disease occurs due to concealment, the party concerned shall be responsible for it.
8. According to the provisions of the income tax law, a winner whose award amount exceeds NT $20000 (inclusive) shall be deducted 10% of the tax by the executive unit. A foreigner who has lived in Taiwan for less than 183 days shall be deducted 20% of the tax regardless of the amount of the award.
9. To maintain the smooth flow of the competition in the venue, some areas have control areas such as evaluation work seats, timing seats, and score work seats. Please do not enter without the consent of the staff.
10. The city implements “compulsory garbage sorting” operations. Participants are requested to cooperate in classifying garbage into “general garbage”, “resource garbage”, “kitchen waste”, etc. during the event. Please also bring your own water bottles and water cups. Disposable cups are not provided at the competition site. Implement environmental protection policies.
